Shipping
Once the payment is received and verified, Velodrome proceeds immediately with the preparation and the shipping of the order.
Shipping timing depends on the type of delivery service one has chosen. When the parcel is sent an email with tracking number will be sent to the buyer. The client is responsible for any information given. If the delivery of the parcel is impossible (for example for an incorrect address or absent recipient) and the parcel goes back to the sender, shipping costs are at the expense of the buyer (in the case of free promotional shipping, the cost of the shipping will be calculated and diverted.)
Velodrome is not responsible for any delay due to the shipping courier (for example for far areas, strokes, natural calamities, logistic accidents, etc.).
In case of problems with the delivery, customer care will always be at your disposal for assistance. For shipping to countries in extra EU VAT, duties and customs duties are not included in the total cost and are in the charge of the client.
More conditions and information can be found in the Shipping section.
What to do when the product is delivered
To ask for a refund in the case of damages during the shipping, the client must always check the conditions of the package at the time of delivery. If the packaging is not perfectly intact, he must accept the goods writing on the receipt “subject to withdrawal because the package is damaged.” The client must also check the correct number of packages. Possible notifications must be immediately communicated to the courier or the package will be considered correctly delivered.
The invoice or waybill, contained in the dedicated pocket applied on the package must be kept as document valid for warranty.
Law and Compliance
The Consumer Code (Legislative Decree. N. 206/2005) art. 128-135 obliges the seller to guarantee to consumers the suitability of the purchased goods at the characteristics and quality offered. The seller is then responsible for the lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery for all products that are sold in his shop. The lack of conformity exists when the product:
- is not suitable for the intended use to which it is indicated;
- is not in conformity with the description or does not possess the qualities indicated by the seller;
- is not suitable for the particular use desired by the consumer, if the latter has been informed in an incomplete and/or incorrect way during the time of the purchase by the seller.
In the case of a found defect, Velodrome asks the buyer to discontinue the use of the product and contact us as soon as possible specifying the problem encountered.
Additional information and details are available at the Returns EU section.
Warranty
All products on www.velodrome-cycling.com website are protected by the official manufacturer's warranty; this warranty is valid for 24 months from the date of the reception of the goods. However, there are exceptions in which the warranty may last for a longer or shorter period. Lithium batteries used to power high-power lights, for example, have limited warranty up to 6 months as they are considered consumables.
The warranty will be applied to products that present a lack of conformity and/or operation, that cannot be seen at the time of the purchase.
Products subject to wear and tear such as tires or brake wires, brake pads, chains, cassettes, batteries and food products such as supplements and beverages are not under warranty.
The warranty will not be applied also in the case of incorrect installation of the product, lack of maintenance, abuse or negligence, incorrect or fraudulent use of the product, in case of alterations due to attempted unauthorized repairing. To avoid any damage/disruption or accident it is important to install, repair and use the product carefully following the instructions provided.
The warranty is personal, therefore applicable only to the original purchaser. To take advantage of product repair/replacement, the purchaser must provide a proof of purchase such as the order summary attached with tax receipt contained in the parcel (emitted only for EU countries), or the invoice selected during the order process. The document must report the purchase date and the purchased articles. Your account order summary is not valid, as considered only an order proposal.
Without these documents, it will be impossible to use the guarantee.
Due to rapid deterioration of the chemical ink used on receipt paper, Velodrome recommends the buyer to make some copies of the receipt, for eventual future use.
Any item which has been changed using a valid warranty will then be covered by warranty for a time equivalent to the residual time of the original warranty.
Any repair cost, for items not subject to warranty, will be communicated in advance to the purchaser by email. The consumer can then decide whether to repair the item or to retrieve it without it being repaired
If it is not possible to repair or replace the product Velodrome reserves the right to offer an alternative of equal or higher value or a partial refund.
Repair or replacement timing of an object covered by the warranty can vary depending on the manufacturer. It is therefore not possible to determine in advance the guarantee management timing.
Before sending a product covered by warranty it is necessary to carefully follow the procedure reported in the section Returns and Non-EU Returns (Without a “return number”, delays might occur).
Packed and non Packed Items
Because some kind of products is restocked in big quantities, some of them ( for example chains, sprockets, cassettes, levers and brakes) are not provided with original individual packaging.
These products are identical to those packed singularly, they have the same quality. The only difference is in the fact that they don’t have a singular pack. The authenticity of the product is always verifiable through the product codes, engraved directly on the components. These products have identical warranty conditions.
Each of these products is carefully packed, to avoid any damage during transportation and handling.
Assembly
Velodrome is not responsible for any damage caused by bad installation. We strongly recommend checking the goods before giving them to your mechanic or to whoever will be assembling them (also be sure that they are qualified to do the job). Please also read the warranty terms before installing or repairing a product (some manufacturers require qualified staff, under penalty of invalidation of the guarantee). If the item is damaged or if the warranty is no longer valid, Velodrome can not be considered responsible.
Additional responsability
Velodrome can not be considered responsible for any direct and/or indirect damage arisen after the purchase of the products available on the website.
Velodrome can not be considered liable for any fraudulent use and abuse of its website, its services and any type of payment made from third parties.
